Pet Peeve: when people are sanctimonious about how little TV they watch.
You know what? I work forty plus hours a week. If I want to kick back with a glass of wine (bottle of water), some cheese (goldfish), and a new episode of Lost (Sixteen and Pregnant), that’s my God-given right.
You don’t own a tv? Oh, how wonderful. You know, where I come from, that’s not intellectual and evolved, it’s poor.
BOOM. Roasted. Not owning a tv doesn’t mean you’re cultured, it’s more likely you’re just out of the loop. I watch a lot of tv and like to think it hasn’t dulled my intellect too much.
Yea, t.v. is basically my number one hobby because I can do other things while also being entertained. I see it is a win-win situation. I have things to talk about….not always the most intellectual things, but I find myself more in tune with people then those with no t.v. (and their over inflated egos).
