I want to be a product designer for condom boxes. Mostly for the awkward social scenarios it could create (could you imagine being introduced at a party? “Hi, I’m Cassie, I design condom boxes. My husband tells me you teach Sunday School”?), but also because they’re designing things that no one probably looks at, but yet people buy constantly.

This exact career aspiration has come up several times in my social conversations (which may be an issue in itself) anyway…I too would like to design condom boxes. Seems like there is a market for a box that fits in well with the other contents of a women’s purse so that she is both prepared, but not ashamed to be carrying anything (yes, we still have stigmas in society). Not to mention the marketing potential that seems to be lacking in this industry. I never thought about the social aspect of it though…that too would be enjoyable, nice ice breaker for sure.
